Like so many storms of history and mythology, the Tempest swirls above the rotunda floor providing the intense energy necessary to transcend reality to the dream world of baseball. The animated light sculpture that equates the powerful whirl of the batter and the spiral of all things living. The lighting simulates lightening and the movement of clouds across the sun’s path. The baseball fan passes across a storming sea in the concrete floor and rises to discover the compass that sets the first view of the ballpark.
